Inspired by
The fact that every kid loves candy, but not every parent wants to buy that candy and further sweeten an already very sweet tooth. That’s where Whizbits comes in, bridging the gap between the desires of the parents and their children. Getting kids excited about learning can be hard, but with Whizbits I wanted to inspire a generation of Whizkids to shoot for the stars, dig through the dirt, and stay curious.


The Process
What started as a simple packaging project, grew to be a full design challenge, with me asking myself the question, “how do I get children excited to learn about science?” For me, it was always online games. By connecting a physical product children love and a digital game that would help educate them in corresponding scientific fields, I felt like I was able to bridge a gap between physical product and online presence. Knowing that the brand had to speak to children as well as their parents, I was careful in developing an illustration style and brand system that was playful yet engaging.
